G00dnight Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Has anyone got it to work. I have helios working in A10 & KA50, but the VRS seat no longer works like it used to. JG14_Smil Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 There is a post about it somewhere. I'll see if I can find it. I will not get excited about the TFS3 until they start focusing on flight sims and not just race cars. (for the record, I have owned this product for over ten years) There have been a couple new releases of the TFS software in the last weeks.
GregP Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Actually BUYING one is apparently an art in itself, though. I've put in two 'orders' over the past 3 months and have never heard back about either one. Next logical thing to do would be post to the forums and ask around, right? Well it seems either no new forum registrations are being accepted or the account registration page is bugged. So no way to buy, no way to ask questions ... strange.
don_sangria Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I also have placed an order for an Intellivibe in September 2012. After my order, i received an email from them (craig) where i was asked for the simulations i would play, i stated only for DCS. Then i got response that they are developing something new, which would be worth to wait for it and should be out in the next time... Since then, i was asking in 6 week steps for any updates and received the answers (each after sending a second mail, with DESPERATE in the mail title...) that it will take some more time until its available, but no infos about the development status nor the planned upgrades. Since i have installed 4 bass shakers in my game chair, i gave up my hope for intellivibe, even if it looks very promising...
JG14_Smil Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I hate to say anything bad as Craig is a great guy. When they do get it right it will be a great addition. It is fantastic for driving sims and if they can get it to work from G forces and add a thump for the rotor, I will love it. I forgot about looking for the post about getting it running and I'll see what I can find. And yes, I am waiting for my new sub amp and two more shakers for my rig. I've been missing them since the amp went poof.
G00dnight Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 I have it and until 1.2.3 update it was working great not like a bass shaker atall you get feelings from individual legs in a roll or your back or bum in a climb, also things like gear clunk gives you a knock, I bought it only a year ago and think its great but dcs 1.2.3 update stopped it working. JG14_Smil Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 For BS2, TFS3 has never worked great yet. Audio sense will make a big difference. I suggest you make a post at the ivibe site about getting it running in 1.2.3.
G00dnight Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 smil audiosense is the most basic and wont work in dcs because it picks up bitchin betty. dcs world 1.2.2 has the bit built in to enable intellivibe which I think works well in A10, KA & P51. the file structure has changed in 1.2.3 & this has stopped I-Vibe from working thats all, It will soon be fixed I hope. PoleCat Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Audiosense with the TFS3 is no better solution then using a ButtKicker IMHO. It is everything else about the TFS3 that makes it better than using speaker drivers for vibes. Using sound to drive this device is using it far below even it's current potential. It works pretty good with DCS world already and Craig has promised some videos on tweaking AC parameters very soon. The rotor modeling for the KA-50 vibes are still missing but there are a boatload of other parameters that can be tweaked at will for all the other AC and very little is missing there AFAIK. It is also incorrect to state that the ivibe TFS3 is designed mainly for racing sims. It is every bit a flight simulation device as well, perhaps even more so. I will check with Craig on how to enable vibes in the latest version of DCSW. Yes it has been a real slog and rough going for the Ivibe TFS3 but there is simply nothing else like it. ~Out Edited March 3, 2013 by PoleCat http://www.104thphoenix.com/
acemark Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I Have the T.F.S.3 working great in world, with B.S.2. Will wait to upgrade to latest Ver. Its a shame there are such wide opinions of the service of I-Vibe . My experiance was good. Craig told me what to expect, I agreed, It came. I urge anyone who wants one to be patient , and keep trying ,its worth it. intellivibe Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Hi everyone, This is Rob. We were notified today that intellivibe was not working with the latest DCS World release. We are looking into it now. It looks like ED has moved the config.lua file needed to activate intellivibe. There are a couple of threads about it on this forum. Before we write up a new procedure to activate it, we want to test it first, but it requires finishing the download of the new DCS World installer(going to take a few hours I think). We are updating our forum with news and will also post back here once everything is working again. Rob Edited March 5, 2013 by intellivibe
PoleCat Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Thanks for the update Rob. Looking forward to using the TFS3 again. Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
intellivibe Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Ok, here is the deal. ED moved its configuration folders in this release. To get the TFS3 working again with DCS World 1.2.3 follow these steps: 1) Find the new location for the config files. It is somewhat dependent on which version of windows you are running. A) Windows XP the folder should be located at: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Games\DCS. B) Windows Vista, 7, and 8 the folder should be located at: C:\Users\YourUserName\Saved Games\DCS. 2) Once you have located the proper folder, create a new folder called: "Scripts". You should have a path that looks like: .....\DCS\Scripts 3) Download the Export.lua file attached to this post and put it in the scripts folder you just created. 4) Play DCS World! We will get the new script put up on the downloads page shortly, as well as the new instructions for the support page. Let us know if you have any issues. JG14_Smil Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I guess it works, but forgive me if I don't jump for joy. The effect is very light if at all, but it is working (BS2). The export lua caused my Helios to stop working. If the effect was better, I might be inclined to get that fixed. In the past, I've been blown away by my TFS2, but I have yet to see my TFS3 perform anywhere near as well. Hoping for the best with the updates.
intellivibe Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 If helios stops working you might need to merge their Export.lua file with ours. Just put the helios Export.lua file back in the scripts folder, then with notepad2 or notpad++ edit the helios Export.lua file. At the very top of the file add the line: intelliVIBE = true That should enable helios and the TFS3. The TFS3 should perform better than the TFS2 ever could. I suspect you have some settings out of whack. I'm thinking it might be better to move that discussion to our forum @ www.ivibe.com/forums We are happy to help get your TFS3 in proper working order.

The TFS3 is currently missing rotor modeling for the Black Shark. This would of course be the main vibe that you would need working to be satisfied with it. As I understand it, it will be added eventually. Admittedly this is one of very few weak spots for the TFS3 in DCS world right now. The rest is coming along well. Hope to see it added soon. Keep the faith! Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
Sov13t Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Very nice. Had some fun with it today. Combined with Buttkicker it is pretty damn immersive. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 51st PVO Regiment | Forum | Statistics DCS: MiG-21Bis
G00dnight Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 I actually tune mine down as in real life aircraft don't shake you about so much, The feedback is very subtle in most cases, There are exceptions of course but I would think an attack heli would be a pretty stable platform, I know in a fighter you get thrown around but that is different to the vibes, I love the feeling of movement under each leg as you roll would love it to be just a pressure rather than a vibration like a balloon expanding and going down again..just an idea.. thanks for sorting the lua I just added the intell true bit to the end and it works. TomDK Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 After some week not flying , I am downloading the actual patch for DCS and will add the workaround for my TFS3. Just a word: I bought my TFS3 over a year ago. Everything went well. The first usb-unit was not working due an brocken usb-plug. I get some weeks later a complete new, working usb-unit and could hold the old one as a spare. That is great service. The forums are strange, I am not able for nearly 2 years to create an account. This guys could sell much much more of their great intellivibe if they would reorgansize their business. More communication, an updated forum, faster response. So I am not unhappy with the service but their is room to get much better and also make better business. Just my 5 Cent ... if you need an european disritibutor .. just mail me :music_whistling::thumbup: My old, sold, pit: http://bilder.einzelart.de/thumbnails.php?album=74&page=3
PoleCat Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I just revisited and tested the TFS3 in DCSW in all flyable AC. In a word it works excellent! You can feel everything, the guns, the flaps, the speed brake etc. And that is before tweaking the parameters. It is much better than any shaker. Anyone that does not recognize the absolute coolness and uniqueness of this device has either not used it or doesn't know how to. All problems with getting it off the ground aside the Ivibe TFS3 is the best thing since a HOTAS and TIR. Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/

PoleCat Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 TOLD U, Told U. LOL. U bin missin out on a good thing polecat.. Well I have not really been missing out. By "revisiting" I only meant in the latest build of DCSW. I have owned the device for years and was one of the very first to get the TFS3 upgrade AFAIK. I have been endorsing the TFS2/3 and using mine for a lot longer then most. :) Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
