Lumax Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) So.. after i update to DCS 1.2.3 .(9871) im no longer able to connect to multiplayer. well out of 50 attempts. i am able to connect to the Master server.. but mostly it just say,. "Can's connect to Master" more so. when i do get the server list populated and try to connect to a server. i get mostly get "Stream error" , i am able to join some servers after 20 trys or so. this is verry frustrating. if i get online all woks fine. had no lag issue or whatso ever. before you start saying, check you router etc, its nothing wrong with it. this issue came with the latest update. and my other games have no problems connecting to internett. am i the only one having this issue or is it well know one.? i seen some old post from previouse version of Dcs that some had the "stream error". are there any solutions to this.? or is there a know bug i the game thats causing it ?? BRooDJeRo Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Is your connectionsetting on 'LAN'? And if it is, did you try to use the DCS 'repair' function?
Lumax Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 ofc its not set to Lan.. DCS 'repair' function ? umm where do i find it ? i see no such option in dcs or exe.
Dejjvid Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 ofc its not set to Lan.. DCS 'repair' function ? umm where do i find it ? i see no such option in dcs or exe. He's not referring to the SERVER setting that controls whether or not you broadcast to Master Server. He is referring to the Network Speed setting in Multiplayer Options. Empirical studies have shown you reduce warping by using LAN instead of ADSL settings. But anyway, i don't think this is causing your issue. I'd suggest a complete re-install of DCS World and all your modules. If you only uninstall World, you will keep your settings. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
Dejjvid Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Repair is in the Start menu Eagle Dynamics>DCS World> Repair i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
Lumax Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) i see. thanks. will try it out and see what happens. Edit: Tried all that, still the same issue. it seems like its not able to resolve the host where the Master server is. so the socket just times out after some time. Edited February 28, 2013 by Lumax
