I went out for a spin in the FC3 Su-25 today after upgrading to 1.23

I flew the Tskhinvali Interdiction mission (great for AG practice). I did end up getting shot down - probably because of trying to spot if my rounds had hit the T-80 target. I half-rolled the 'plane to get a good view out of the cockpit to the ground (would be so much better if we had 6DOF in the Su-25, ED :smilewink: though I think that is coming at some point) .

All of a sudden and with no warning my ride fell to pieces and I augered in. Very embarassing. Ejected straight into the deck

On checking the 'score sheet' the only hit on my aircraft was from a BTR-80, over two minutes before my demise - which I had heard as it hit the aircraft, but not experienced any negative effects.

So it must have done some damage and that must have worsened as I continued the attack. Or else whatever hit me wasn't logged?

I just can't remember reading of this kind of thing before - something tells me I have, but I've never experienced it myself before.

Do we have accumulatiing damage from a single hit in FC3?

In basic.. they would put a big "L" on your kevlar at the grenade range if you were a "Looker".. pull, throw, and then stand there and watch..lol. Not pulling out in time is a hard habbit to break..

1. your old lady will end up pregnant.. and

2. You'll most likely get shot down.

No, it wasn't the 'rabbit caught in headlights' syndrome or target fixation - I was egressing aggressively but rolled the aircraft far more than I should for that peek (it was my last missile and time was short - I know I shouldn't do it, but two of my four missiles had just missed their targets and I was desperate!), hence zero recovery time and ejecting into my grave when the brown stuff hit

btw - I was the only bloke in my troop who ever hit the target with a grenade (or got the Molotov in the tank hatch) :P
