moggel Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I have an old and trusty Saitek X52. As I needed to use the "clutch" to extend funtionality I decided not to map the joystick buttons directly into DCS but rather create an SST profile with key macros. The problem is DCS doesn't "see" the keys being emitted by the stick. I have mad sure the stick is correctly profiled using both the SST "test" tool and a small app I pieced together to monitor the keyboard. But as I open DCS/Options and test something like "start left engine" (RAlt+Home) nothing happens. It's like the sim cannot see keys being generated by the flight stick. But if I manually hit the same keys on the keyboard they show up in the options UI as expected. I'm currently out of clues so any hints would be greatly appreciated. i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz; 16Gb DDR3; GeForce GTX 1070; Windows 10; TM Warthog HOTAS
ajax Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 SST uses three options for "macros": keypress, macro, and advanced command. (I think these are the names SST uses.) Anyway, I've had better luck using the advanced command for setting up macros using special keys. Maybe try that?
agrasyuk Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 try adding a delay between distinct key presses. meanng modifyer keyDown, wait 20msec, command keyDown and so on. DCS can be sencitive about that Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
St3v3f Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I believe a macro sends the keys sequentially, therefore it is not suitable for combos. But the standard commands work just fine for me without having to use extended commands or delays aka: Baron [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
