fitness88 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I was wondering what's the easiest way to restore my modified files after updating DCS overwrites them? After every update I need to put back for example the modified audio files that got overwritten. It's a pain so I was wondering is there a program like Mod Man [doesn't work in FC3] that would do it automatically? Thank you.

fitness88 Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 "The JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME) must be installed into the root folder of the game that you would like to mod. The base folder usually contains the game's main executable file and usually has a name unique to the game." Which directory should JSGME be installed in? If I have 3 different games, i.e. FC3, A-10c, P-51 do I have to do 3 installs of JSGME into each folder? Is the base folder and main folder the same? Location of FC3: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs3
cichlidfan Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 You have one game DCS World. In your main DCS World folder is where it belongs. for example, this is my main folder. D:\Games\DCS World Answer to #3 is yes. seikdel Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 You can install JSGME elsewhere and use a shortcut that runs the program in the DCS world directory. Whichever. It's worth noting that DCSW already has a "mods" folder, so you'll have to store your mods in a differently-named folder (i.e. "_MODS" or "my mods").
