I HAVE DOWNLOADED DCS WORLD AND BS-2 MORE THAN ONE TIME AND I HAVE INSTALLED IT MANY TIMES TRYING DIFFERENT THINGS AS I GO AND NOTHING WORKS. AFTER I SELECT A MISSION AND CLICK "FLY" IT GOES THROUGH WHAT LOOKS LIKE IT IS TRYINGTO LOAD THE MISSION AND THEN "DCS HAS STOPPED WORKING, PROGRAM WILL CLOSE. I HAVE TRYIED TO DO EVERYTHING THAT WAS POSTED ON THE FOURMS, NOTHING WILL WORK. DCS BS-1 WORKED WELL IN THIS COMPUTER BEFORE OF COURSE THERE WAS NO "DCS WORLD" WITH BS-1. WILL BS-2 RUN AS A STAND ALONE WITHOUT DCS WORLD?:mad::mad:

Make sure you install the different DX9 redist package and C++ packages when you do your install. Don't just assume you have current files and skip over that part. It is very important.

The Stand alone versions (1.1.1.1) can be played alone-but this problem should be easy to resolve.

Also, are you running a 32bit OS by chance? That's another potential problem.

Do you have some elaborate screen setups? Make sure windows aero interface is disabled.

Have you read the thread about a particular adjustment you need to make with 32bit OS? There is a way... and it's well broadcast- you just need to do it. I'll look around.

You did not use correct syntax. Once the window pops up, just type

bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072

and press enter. It does not matter which path you execute that command in.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

That's the ticket. Just keep in mind OP that you are going to be severely restricted in your LOD and make sure that you keep that in mind when you're setting your options.

The aero interface is an option available in the actual options menu- you'll see it when you get it loaded. Just go to options... it's on the first page and I believe it's disabled by default.
