Hello,

I was frustrated by the support of stereoscopic 3D of HUD id DCS series. It is nearly impossible to aim in 3Dvision with the HUD because it is focused at the depth of the glass in cockpit, instead of infinity.

I first made a Helix fix for DCS world, but it has many drawbacks and it will be soon useless because of the stop of 32bits support for DCS.

After a lot of searches and trials I managed to make a fix for DCS world BS2 that will at least allow the 3D stereoscopic users to use the HUD.

I also add a tutorial (zipped pdf) which may help anyone to make a fix for any DCS world add on plane (A10C, P51D,...).

I submit the patch in the "Cockpit Mods/for DCS BS2 + DCS World BS2/HUD, ABRIS, Reflections, NVG, View" section on lockonfiles.com

Thanks to PeterP for his works, he gave me the basis on which I build my mod.

I did not find the way to modify the Su-25T HUD, and as I do not have FC3 i don't know if this method can be applied to the FC3 planes HUD...

Hi,

FYI, in \DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs\Cockpit there is only a "Resources" directory, no "Scripts" directory.

And this "Resources" directory only contains (at the time) files related to the F-15C cockpit (the only 6-DOF cockpit for now).

Cheers

Great Job and thanks for your spend time to have a look into it and the tutorial .

About FC3/Su25T:

Cockpit devises are hard-coded. Only ED has the power to fix the HUD for it.

I'm not sure to get it - what is stereoscopic hud ? (English not being my native language i'm unsure how this translate).

It means that the hud image is focussed on an infinite distance (oneindige afstand). Resulting is the following: no matter where you place your head in relation to the hud image, the hud image will always be displayed on the same spot, i.e. that's why the gun pipper won't shift if you move your head. Do you understand it with this explanation?

New version 1.1:

* 1.2.4 compatible.

* put back the green clipping zone to HUD level (the HUD symbols are no more visible outside HUD glass).

* Fix a slight X offset.
