fitness88 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 My Saitek X52 Pro has slider jitters. When I zoom in or out there are areas in the range of motion that if I stay there, I will see the screen jitter. When I press the / or * on the keyboard to zoom in or out it's smooth. This is my second throttle and I uninstalled all registry entries pertaining to calibration and reinstalled the drivers. Anyone else have this issue...too bad I like the slider to zoom. Any thoughts? Thank you.
KillarZ Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I just wanted to add i have this same problem too, so its not just you. In fact Ive had this problem since FC1. Im assuming you're talking about using the precision slider to zoom in and out of the cockpit and even when your not moving it you get a little bit of jitters. Am I right? If thats true then yea I have the same problem and i hope someone has a fix.
cichlidfan Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 In fact Ive had this problem since FC1. The problem is not the sim, it is the hardware. The Saitek sliders are jittery due to the pots used. Some around here have made adjustments to the curve to alleviate some of the problem. Suchacz Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Yes, it is a HW related problem. I was using X52Pro in the past and I was using a throttle scroll wheel for zooming. Here is my solution http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1716668&postcount=14. In FC3 it is much easier, you don't have to mind the cockpit mouse-clicking :smilewink: Or it can be done in SST software, you can add the zoom keys to this scroll wheel, but you must add some pressing time, something like 0,1s or so. Without this the zooming is too slow. Edited April 9, 2013 by Suchacz Per aspera ad astra! As mention previously by cichlidfan the problem is in the slider hardware so now I use the throttle POV to control '/ and *' for zooming and it is very smooth indeed but not as quick. What are some other uses for the jittery slider?
