I'm very new to the Warthog, been a week now, but absolutely love it.

Switching to this stick I lost my mapped Trackir recentre button and TS transmit key i had on my x52 pro.

Is it possible to add one of those to the unused mic switch up without mapping all the other commands defaulted by DCSW? Either one, not picky.. I tried using target but found it messed up some in-game mappings when it switched from two controls to a single control when attempting to configure it..

Any ideas?

Hello Spetz,

I haven't tried the TrackIR recenter but you are able to map any input on the TM Hotas using the ingame mapping. I am using the foremost lever (forward of steering pinky switch) on the joystick for resetting trim and the fake grey throttle friction on right side of the throttle I use for zoom.

I have never used Target and have seen quite a few describing problems using it so just don't use it.

Cheers

I'm very new to the WH and have mapped the below without using target:

- reset track ir: throttle slew nipple button (press it)

- trim reset: paddle switch + trim down

- gear up/down: paddle switch + left throttle button

To set the reset, just open track ir outside of DCS and asign it there. I find with a good track ir profile, you almost never need to hit the reset.

I actually never thought of seeing if Trackir or TS Would pick up a button input without actually assigning a key combo.

Thank for the idea.

OR..... I have both my TIR Center & Pause controlled from my warthog pinky lever, using the one button with short and long presses very much like some of the other Warthog buttons & switches. Pause comes in handy if you need to use the clickable cockpit for some items as well as at other times.

I have my Warthog UP Comms button programmed for VAC also & could do the same for the center Comm button for TS (that's in the plans).

Info here.
