As with all computer simulations, the computer has nerves of steel, and the DCS pilots are sitting back in their seats relaxed and cool as cucumbers. Real pilots are sitting with their faces jammed against the windscreen wishing they were wearing eagle-eye sunglasses... look at the pilot of the 3rd Huey, you can barely see his white helmet sticking up over the dash...
