The only reason the Raptor will probably even use its AIM-9's is if it's carrying JDAM's in its bay.

And Lefty it's not "if" it goes operational, it already is operational. It'll fly circles around a Su-35 and it won't even see it till the pilot is floating down in his chute. ;)

1) It is a public secret that the f-15 actually can lock the 22 close to visual range.

2) Su-30 mini AWACS’s will do probably better and other Su’s can lock the 22 in this setup with radar in silent mode using datalink.

3) The R-27ET will be a terrifying 22 killer (lock range is anyway also ET range).

4) The AA-11 “Archer” outperforms the AIM-9X in range (The Su-27UB and Su-35/37 can carry a couple of these Archer internal).

5) I am still waiting for a video with a 22 doing a cobra.

6) The Su-37 was the first jet ever with 100% working anti-stall computer (the 22 still has stall incidents (read computer problems)).

7) I am just teasing the Raptor fan boys. Please don’t take this seriously. :icon_supe

Bah, being a fanboi of something other than an ejection seat is plainly retarded!

Teasing you fanboiz as well, keep on fighting. The raptor is great, the Su-xx is great, as long as neither is flying over my home, or doing offensive manoeuvers over my country, it's all fine, in fact, they all can nuke eachother with nuclear Amraams and rvv-aes, as long as the fallout won't come to me country and home.

You mean inside visual range - it's not neither a secret, nor is it unknown that if you blast enough radar energy at something, it'll return a signal (the detection of which is range critical) ;)

2) Su-30 mini AWACS’s will do probably better and other Su’s can lock the 22 in this setup with radar in silent mode using datalink.

F-15C's and F-16's also have datalinks ... didn't help them! And none of that 'mini awacs' bs either, they all function as each other's awacs if they so wish ;) Sensor fusion.

3) The R-27ET will be a terrifying 22 killer (lock range is anyway also ET range).

The R-27ET packs an outdated, easily decoyed seeker ... and can only be fired AFTER the 120 wipes out the launching platform ... oh wait ... ;)

And completely underperforms it in seeker technology.

So am I!

So you're unaware that a whole bunch of 37's crashed, or?...

And I'm jsut being a fish ;)

IIRC there was only 1 Su-37, this was converted from a Su-35, It was then converted BACK to a Su-35 before it crashed. So..... there has never been a Su-37 crash. :p

Well, so much for the '100% working anti-stall computer' anyway ;)

The computer might have kept it out of a stall and stopped the loss of the aircraft *IF* the crash was in anyway aerodynamically related but no computer would help in incidents where the pilot pulls out of a loop too late and scrapes the tailpipes across the runway. ;)

Me too! I guess we'll have to wait until the USAF makes available for public release, one of their "This is what NOT to do in a combat situation" training videos. Besides, it can safely fly at a sustained AoA of 60 degrees, so going beyond that to an airshow maneuver really doesn't matter much. ;)

Yes, but I wonder how many incidents they had in their test program, since that's where the F-22 had its problems. :p
