I've been building Panels for my A10 and the most recent one was a caution panel using a Phidgets board and Helios.

I had just finished adding an AOA indexer for the side of my screen and I had it configured in Helios and tested it in Helios and it worked fine. All of my other lighting such as my nav panel, Master caution light, fire indicators all had been working great in my A10. But when I went to try out the AOA indexer in the sim nothing worked. It was as if I had not started the Helios profile at all. I started right from scratch and went into the profiler and it shows DCS is the interface, I loaded the Phidgets software, then TrackIR, then the Helios profile and then started the A10 for a ramp start. Turned on the battery and nothing... usually the caution panel lights up instantly but everything was dead.

Please help me fix this. I have been racking my brain as to why this has happened. BTW, one other thing happened between the last time it worked and now was I installed the Huey and the 1.2.4 upgrade.

Could the upgrade be the cause? I really don't understand Helios that well in terms of how it works inside of DCS and my programming skills are zero so as much as I can build panels and make them work I have no idea what is happening in the background.

In your DCS World folders there is a backup folder. In it should be your old export.lua in the Scripts folder. Copy it back to the original location.

Check your export.lua file within the export folder if it's been replaced/overwritten during the upgrade of DCS with a default. Not sure if that's the case but might be a start. There's been some notes here on the forum earlier on how to recover in cases like that

And complements to your panels. looks great

after a long break Im having the same problem with helios. The ins and outs of swapping files etc used to be second nature but not now.

running through it with more detail...

I go to backups>config>export.... and there are 2 files in there

1.config file

2.export file

where do I move these files to in the new version of a10/ DCW?

thought I might just try to bump this before I create a new helios profile.

There are a couple of export folders in DCW.

Would I be correct in saying the export lua in back ups goes into the

DCS WORLD/CONFIG/CONFIG/EXPORT?

both files are the same size.

The backup folders are saved with the proper location. Just move them back to whatever folder they are sitting in (from backup to the original location).
