So I inverted the throttle in the Axis command section. However, the minute I pull on the collective (pull back on the throttle), RPM warning goes off and I crash. What am I doing wrong? I just switched it out my Cougar and at least I was able to take off using the RANGE dial switch as my throttle.

BTW, this is in the instant action, free flight mode.

Thank you

Track?

EDIT:

When you exit the mission you will be given a option to save the track on the debrief scream.

Save it and upload it as an attachment.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Sry inverted what and why?

rpm warning will go off if you decrease power, or apply to much collective that it lowers the rpm.

why did you inverted your throttle? or did you mean your collective?

you need to get it to full throttle for start up, then you leave it in that position, the governor will take over your throttle. just pull your collective a bit and you will be airborn.

Joey45, I'm using linear track, didn't change anything there.

Vlerkies, I noticed that when I pulled back on the throttle, the in cockpit animation showed the collective going down. In other words, I start with my throttle (collective) at 100% position, which should be 0% for Huey/Collective. Pulling back on it (towards me) should increase collective but it was going down in animation. So in the AXIS command, I clicked on INVERT.

I'm talking about moving my collective (throttle) *JUST BARELY* So it's as if my collective is way to sensitive. But in the AXIS menu, going from 0 to 100 seems to be moving the full diagonal and is smooth.

But now that you mention it, I think the collective was already up a bit (when i was looking around the cockpit). Again, this is the Instant action, free flight. Hmm, I need to do some more testing. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Your throttle/power is not your collective

Your throttle or power or as it is termed in the sim the Corrector, is always set to full, as it is governed. Only when there is an issue with the governor would you need to adjust that. So basically power is full all the time, let the governor do its work.

The collective, the animation on the left side of your leg controls the rotor blade angle. As you increase it it will give you lift.

I think you have the 2 mixed up.

When you start your power should be full, rpm indicator in the green, the collective is at the floor. You gently raise the collective and you will get lift.

Could you give us a track?

A track is the game play and it helps us to analyse the game play.

Thanks everyone. Didn't know about the "track" option at the end. I was finally able to spot to error. I had locked the dual throttle (to be one) and each one was controlling something else. Now, at least I can take off. Thanks again everyone!
