Trubshaw Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Are the FC3 sound files 'hard coded' into the program code? or are they separate somewhere? I would really like the air brake of the Su27/33 to sound like it used to before the latest update. If so where are the ogg files located? Thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] TrubshawRN -=SHREK 94=-

RIPTIDE Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Just wondering where the soundfile for the cockpit wind is, also. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ralfidude Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I would love to have the intake and nozzle sounds for the F-15. Absolutely NO GAME EVER has done that (to my knowledge), and it is LOUD!!! In this video hear the nozzle, at 1:30 In this video, hear the intake at 0:44 seconds in [sIGPIC]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b66/ralfidude/redofullalmost_zpsa942f3fe.gif[/sIGPIC]

hubson Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Just wondering where the soundfile for the cockpit wind is, also. Sounds/Effects/Aircrafts - PlaneFurWindIn (since 124.)
RIPTIDE Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Sounds/Effects/Aircrafts - PlaneFurWindIn (since 124.) Thanks. I had noticed these files and was guessing them. But wasn't sure. Anyway, I reduced amplitude of the file using audacity and now I don't have to scream and shout at my Squad buddies if I go over M1.5. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Trubshaw Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 Still unclear..... exactly where is the air brake file for the Su33? Does anyone know? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] TrubshawRN -=SHREK 94=-

hubson Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 There must be a bug in recent version because the sample you're looking for is common for flaps sound and the airbrake as well. Sounds/Effects/Aircrafts- Flaps, FlapsEnd
Trubshaw Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Thanks Hubson.....am I being thick? When I play those sounds ie. Sounds/Effects/Aircrafts/Flaps etc using Audacity they definitely don't sound like what I hear when I am flying the Su33. All I want is the Su33 sound file to be louder or back as it was before the 1.24. Cheers [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] TrubshawRN -=SHREK 94=-
hubson Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 It's not you being thick, Thrubshaw, there is some mess with these sounds obviously. If you want airbrake sound to be played louder in the cockpit , in the Audacity increase the amplitude of FlapsIn and FlapsEndIn waves or increase "gain" parameter in corresponded sdef files ( gain = 3,2 seems to be fine on my end). If you want the proper airbrake sound (not used in current version for some reason..) you have to rename Airbrake and AirbrakeBegin to FlapsEndIn and FlapsIn accordingly. I hope that helps.
Trubshaw Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Cheers I appreciate you help. Happy Flying [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] TrubshawRN -=SHREK 94=-
David Wong Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Go to the sound file in the Config folder. You can adjust gain to any aircraft.
