Megatherion Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 There is a dial in the overhead console labelled NVG Position LTS at the front left of the console, with dial settings OFF,1,2,3,4,BRT. What does it do and are there keyboard shortcuts for it? When you mouse over it, the tooltip says navigation lights. I have tried changing it during a night flight mission, and don't see any changes on any lights, and looked through all the keyboard shortcuts in the options/controls, and just don't see anything for it. Anyone know what this dial is for and if it is implemented or not in the beta?
Robert1983NL Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Have you tried looking at the lights with your NVG's on?
Megatherion Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 Which lights exactly, navigation lights are fixed on the outside of the helicopter and can't see them in cockpit view. Just tried with night vision goggles on, changed settings on the dial, didn't see any changes anywhere. Please add more details to your answer.
tusler Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Just a guess...But it sounds like they are lights easily seen at night with NVG and used for Formation flying at night. Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:! JesseJames38 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 they are external navigation lights that you can see only with the use of NVG, Sadly they are not implemented inside the game. and from what I understand they will not be added. In a way I hope they are because it is difficult to see wingmen at night even with NVG on. Jesse
Fer109 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) I have the same question. It will be nice if oficial manual mention that is not implemented yet, like it does with the chaff dispenser(for example), in order people don´t get crazy guessing. Edited March 1, 2016 by Fer109
