Hi,

is it possible to get a downloadable version of the updater in a single .exe download? I have 3G connectivity @ home, and downloading 200+Mb to get the update multiple times is not feasible. My monthly limit at home is 5Gb... At work, there really is no limit - i'd rather not have to download the full installer + 3 modules each time, then do the uninstall/install routine..

thanks,

you shouldnt have to do the uninstall/install routine... just use the autoupdater in the start menu... perhaps i misunderstand?

it's not possible to use the autoupdater, since my ISP only allows 5Gb of data xfer a month - with 2 updates in the last few weeks, i'd use up my bandwidth quota quickly. I can download at work the full installer. It's just frustrating to have to uninstall/reinstall since the installer wont let me "upgrade" versions that are already installed.

Perhaps it's enough if someone package their updated files, and you replace your files with the new files. But I won't recommend it though, lot of things can go wrong.

The autoupdates are usually in the range of a few ten to hundred megabytes in size. The size of the 2.3-2.4 update was so large because the localisation files were distributed to every install. Future updates should be smaller again.

You can however get the newest version of DCSW from here, the modules are here.

Note that the full downloads come out some time after the autoupdate, because their installer packing requires additional work.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.
