GAJ52 Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I am trying to map the KA-50 'Collective Brake' to the small button on my X52 Throttle, the one just below the green mini-stick. When I press it within the X52 Control Panel it illuminates the number 31. When I try to map any control to this button (not just the Blackshark) its not recognised within the DCS Controller Options. Is there a way round this as this is the only non used button available to map to the Collective Brake. Thanks GAJ52 Intel i7-7700K @ 4.60GHz | 32 GB Ram | Win 10 Pro 64 | GTX 1080i 11.00MB | Saitek X52 Pro

You must right click on game controller, and go to the properties, from there disable clutch mode and hey presto the button works. 4.8 I7, 1080, TMW&T, SSD, VKB MK.IV.

Something to watch for, at least mine did it, is that sometimes the driver decided to reset itself, the clutch button stops working and you have to do as Dav IRL says, again, to fix it. I have my game controller icon setup so I always check before I launch Dcs that my clutch is disabled. 4.8 I7, 1080, TMW&T, SSD, VKB MK.IV.
GAJ52 Posted May 20, 2013 Author Posted May 20, 2013 Isn't the clutch button the one with the 'I' on it ? I'm talking about the small silver one below the mini-stick, as someone mentioned it may be another mouse click button - anyone know if it can be reprogrammed as an ordinary select button. Torri Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 You have to do that in the Saitek software, otherwise DCS won't recognise it.
Robert1983NL Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Yes it can be GAJ52. I've done it. I've mapped so that I can enter stuff in my CDU while having that tiny button depressed. I can't recall doing anything special to map that button.
