Want to get into FC3

I want to get into FC3 (and A10C), but it says it requires Lockon : Modern Air combat , wich is NOT available in the store. So its an expantion pack thats as expensive as a full game , and requires a base game thats not available to purchase? Can someone explain? Its like ED doesnt want people to buy FC3...

Its due to legal obligations to ubisoft. Blame them. This is the best ED can do without getting sued. Go to ebay and try finding a copy of lock on. FC may be an expansion pack per se, but compared to most modern run of the mill games, there are enough features in it to be a full numbered sequel. Don't complain why they are charging so much.... try to find any other dedicated full time military flight simulation developers. There is only one serious tank sim dev and each copy costs over 100$.

Eagle Dynamics are actually working to get rid of this requirement, and are working on stand-alone Su-27 and F-15C that will not require anything else thant DCS World. Both should be the same as the FC3 planes, but improved with an more realistic advanced flight model.

Just to clarify, A-10C does not require Lock On. FC3 includes the A-10A. I've heard from some other people on that the digital download from Ubisoft's website works too, but I can't confirm that.

The download does, indeed, work. However, it is only available within the United States (or possibly North America, I can't recall).
