so i downloaded DCSworld today and i dont have ANY extra modules, only the SU-25

every time i try to start a mission the game crashes and i get a DCSworld has stopped working error message which takes me back to the initial start up of DCSworld where it also ends up crashing.

i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it didnt work.

i also had a look at the crash logs where it says something about a access violation

We need more info, could you provide us with a DxDiag from your system? (just type dxdiag in your start menu and save all information)

Sorry, goto your windows start menu and type in dxdiag, a screen will appear showing your PC specifications and operating system etc, you'll need to output this information to a text file so we can view what you have running (click the 'Save All Information' button and a DxDiag.txt will be generated)

I concur, get a DXDIAG up so we can see the details. I fear you are running a 32 bit system.
