ophiuchus Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I wonder if ED has ever considered implementing player-operated boom operator position for KC-135 or its russian equivalent? It would be fun especially during multiplayer sessions, and it wouldn't need to be extra realistic. Some basic mouse operations and few buttons propably would be enough ;)
Lucas_From_Hell Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Imagine if some troll gets behind the controls. Starts teasing everyone by taking the boom away at the last second before connect. +1 on this idea of a boom operator. Thanks, Satan :D Bless probe-and-drogue:megalol: It'd be cool to have a proper tanker module though :)
ophiuchus Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Yeah ;) That's possible, but still... recently I got shot down or rather shot while standing on parking spot on server, which in theory was dedicated to freeflight without guns, so there is always a risk ;D I just hope, that there are more pros than cons in this idea ;)
OttoPus Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Boom operator and flyable KC-135 would be very useful.

ophiuchus Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 @Blaze, that's exactly what I was singing to myself while posting this thread :D
ENO Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I think that would be outstanding~! +100 Not sure about the flyable tanker- I'm sure it would appeal to some but to have a boom operator's position available would be REALLY sweet. (But I'll stick that boom through your canopy if you start to sing to me)... "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
