PLAAF Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Hi guys. There is something I don't understand about G limit. You see that R-40 missile and R-33 missile? Their G limit is only 5G. How can it hit anything?? Also the other day I found this website earlier: http://www.sinodefence.com/army/surfacetoairmissile/hongqi2.asp Notice this part, it says: "increasing the G limit to 1.5G from the original 1G". !!!!! 1.5 G???!!! How can anyone get hit by a missile with 1.5 G limit. But it also says :"single-shot hit probability 73%". How??!! Is there anything I don't know about G-limit??? SNAFU Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 With 1,5G max, it would need 80 seconds acceleration to get to 1200m/s? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Unsere Facebook-Seite
PLAAF Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 With 1,5G max, it would need 80 seconds acceleration to get to 1200m/s? now I am confused even more. G also decide speed acceleration?? I thought G is for turn. My Adorable Communist Errand Girls Led by me, the Communist Errand Panda
SNAFU Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Depends on the specifications. If you say general g limit of the design is 1,5g, then it would limit also the acceleration I would say. But usually every axis has its own G-limit I would guess. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Unsere Facebook-Seite
