GKOver Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Is it possible to create a video file with real 3D? I want to create such a video file to watch it on our usual 3D TV. I have a an SLI with 2 x GTX-295 and no 3D-capable-monitor. Just this 3D-TV. May I use Nvidia 3D-Vision for it?
159th_Viper Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Have you tried to record in 2D with a utility like FRAPS and then use a 3D converter to convert it to a 3D video? PeterP Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 (edited) you must at least use a stereo-filter that can render DCS side by side (or: set your 3Dplugin to render only one output - than record the output for each eye one after another ) Than you can use this footage with a proper movietool that can convert it into 3D for TV output. - The DCS Avi tool can't do it just by recording the 3D output that you usually see while wearing your glasses as it doesn't stores the info when what specific content is seen - means: the avi has no info for your shutter-glasses which 'eye' to close. GKOver Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 @159th_Viper: I want real 3D, not only this plastic 3D. Thanks anyway for your answer. @PeterP: I will try to find such a filter or 3D-Plugin. I would be able to combine the 2 videos later with my video editing tool (Magix).
PeterP Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Here is a tip: The 32bit variant of the IZ3d drivers are supporting side-by-side rendering. So get a 32 bit operating system (If you don't have a dual-boot -maybe you know someone that has a old laptop still with a 32 bit OS) and install DCS on it - than copy the 32bit files into your 64bit OS. - after this you are able to run the 32 bit version on your system with fully side-by-side stereoscopic output. Please Make a forum search - I explained several times myself how to install a 32 bit DCS on a 64bit system.
