BBQ Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Bug description: I attempted to verify modelling of INU drift after approximately 2.5 hours flying time with heavy winds; in the end, it appeared that zero drift/error had occurred. BBQ Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 I searched for a post which mentioned the deprecated feature but couldn't find one. I know there were some issues with it a long, long time ago (pre-DCS: World), and that it had been disabled -- but figured since capability was in current mission editor, that somewhere along the line they had fixed it.
ajax Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 There seems to be a bug (?) in the PVI-800 where everything is rounded down. Wind speed displayed by the PVI-800 is always (except at 0) 1 m/s less than actual. With this in mind your pictures of the ABRIS and PVI-800 coordinates match. The ABRIS is degrees-minutes-seconds and the PVI-800 is degrees-decimal minutes. My calculations show that the PVI-800 should display longitude 041'47'9 instead of 041'47'8. So I'm not sure that even if alignment was modelled that you would see a difference before and after.
