Dudester22 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I just downloaded the torrent that is about 5.86 GB. I have the old DCS world still installed with all my modules and want to know how I go about installing these 5 files? You would think they would give you some instructions on how to do this.
PeterP Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Make sure that all 5 files are in the same folder and Run following file (Right click>Run - or simply double click) : DCS_World_1.2.5.15586.200_213.exe And read all info that pops up (also the ReadMe files) and make the appropriate decisions. Do I delete the old DCS World first? Thanks!!

PeterP Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Un-installing a older versions of any software is always a good choice to prevent hiccups when you don't like to use updates that are made to work with a already installed version. - also delete/rename the DCS folder in your C:\Users\>YOUR USERNAME<\Saved Games\ folder. Read here to learn where your old Joystick profiles are stored to restore them if necessary: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=42462 edit: cichlidfan - do you have nothing better to do than Chuck-Norrising my post ?! - just asking. :) Edited July 24, 2013 by PeterP
Dudester22 Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 Read here to learn where your old Joystick profiles are stored to restore them if necessary: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=42462 I didn't see anywhere in that thread that tell you where my joystick profile is installed. I need my old one before installing because I don't want to have to go through the nightmare of doing all that again.
