Anyone agree this could be a blast? Of course we'd need thermals modelled. bilbosmeggins Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 It'll never happen. Wind would have to be properly modelled. Strength and direction, as it is now, just would not cut it. We would need thermals properly generated from source, with drift and dispersion accurately realised. And all relevant turbulence surrounding the thermal accurately reproduced. Ridge lift with the appropriate rotor on the lea side of the ridge, venturi effect, wave lift, it just goes on. But I must say that if it ever did I'd be right at the front of the download queue :)
