How do I activate my DCS on steam with no key for DCS World?

 

Steam would have given you a key if you check in the game in the library and click on CD Key copy them and when you launch the game paste the relevant CD key to the activater.

Or right click on DCS World in Steam Library window will open and then select view key where it will display all the CD keys for the modules and launcher that you copy to clip board and use apply the correct one to activate the module in question.

no it didn't I activated the DCS World to steam this is a non Steam game when I downloaded it from ED. So why isn't it compatible with steam.

 

I don't want to have to redownload the whole 3.2gb just to have a key from steam.

 

 

it looks as though you, Downloaded the steam version..that's why you have a key a majority of us have had DCS World for a year now..

DCSW By itself does not require a Serial Key, it's FREE TO PLAY. (Using SU-25T)

 

 

DLC/Modules that Require a Serial Key:

A-10C Module

KA-50 Module

SU-25A Module

Combined Arms Module

P-51D Module

He's saying he wants to integrate his existing ED website-purchased copies of everything in to his Steam account.

 

And to answer that, you can't do all of it yet, but they're working on it. Though in my experience, you probably will have to redownload everything from inside Steam. It won't migrate the existing installation files in to the Steam game folders and whatnot. You'll just be able to add the serial numbers from your purchases and Steam will add them to your account. Regardless of not having a serial number for DCS: World itself, you still have to redownload it anyways to get the full Steam integration. I think ED said they were working on it for the next patch, so hang in there and it should be out soon.

ah thanks, its because I can't seem to be apart of the DCS World group so I can share my screenies in that community group, with out installing the steam version, instead of the ED version automatically be seen by Steam. :thumbup:

 

I hope they can get that sorted, but the only way I see this happening; is if ED assigns a one free key for the DCS World; and to make it a beta key so they don't incur registry key cost and lose registry numbers.
