I just purchased DCS: Su-25. But when installing it just says:

"Can´t install DCS Su-25A 1.2.5 16184 into newer DCS World 1.2.5 16508. Please download Su-25A 1.2.5 16508 installer."

Yeah and where do I do that?

Same issue, i'm guessing that it is just really bad timing. DCS may have updated before the downloaded module has updated to the same version, making it outdated. Hopefully it is sorted ASAP.

What you need to do is forget about those files you just downloaded. Go into your DCS program and go to the module manager. A window should pop up saying a module is ready for download. Hit button that says "okay" and your new module is downloaded and installed. Have fun flying.

What we mean is we've downloaded it for the first time just after a DCS World update, so it still just gives me the option to buy it in the module manager - as the current version of it refuses to install.

What enigma6584 is saying, is that you need to download it again through the Module Manager (selected from the main DCS menu). This will allow you to download the correct software version.

ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! I tried this before, I see no option to just download it, it only has a "buy" button, which just minimizes the game and opens up the website, but perhaps i'm missing something really obvious, I haven't used this module manager before :(

Chippy, log into Module Manager with your DCS account, and a window will appear saying you can install DCS Su-25 module. It worked for me this morning, and hopefully it is there for you as well!

Exactly. When you purchase a module now, there is no need to separately download the module files from the website. You only go to website to purchase modules. DCS World will do the downloading and installing for you.

This wasn't here for me. Just a buy button, nothing else, yes I was logged in. I ended up rolling back the update, using the installer and then re-updated, which worked fine.

just uninstall the DCS world, then reinstall it but not update to the new patch (click NO ). After that install the Su-25A module and then run the auto-update.

DCS World and Su-25 modules installers should have the same installer number: 1.2.5.16184.220_226, If you bought in Steam, only say no to the new patch, after you install all the modules ( in your case only the Su-25 ) then you run the auto-update.
