Is it possible to use the "take control" feature of a replay as a way of saving and then reloading a mission to continue it? Does it save your progress with regard to objectives in a campaign or single mission? That sounds logical. If you have destroyed a target, it's still destroyed when you take control again.

In theory, yes, but as stated above, the tracks are unlikely to be accurate. Especially if you were to speed up time to get to the point where you want to take control.

The so-called "replay" functionality is too in-deterministic to be called replay. A more appropriate label would be re-simulation.

Nice plane on that gun...

it seems like it sorta works

I'm doing a campaign mission from the user files "Operation Jackal"

I was able to save a track and then fast forward to where I left off

except even after getting the "mission success" message and finishing the flight, it didn't register on the campaign as having been completed
