Boris Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 So I was trying out the new quick mission for the A-10C today... Coming up to the "Tanks" target, I took some evasive maneuvres due to the AA defences and during a dive my aircraft seems to have been hit and I go down. Thinking I've been hit by a missile, I look at the log data and see I was never fired upon. Upon inspecting the track it seems my right wing just rips off mid flight. Was I just maneuvering too hard and caused a structural failure? Track attached (please change extension)...WTF.trk.rar PC Specs / Hardware: MSI z370 Gaming Plus Mainboard, Intel 8700k @ 5GHz, MSI Sea Hawk 2080 Ti @ 2100MHz, 32GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM Displays: Philips BDM4065UC 60Hz 4K UHD Screen, Pimax 8KX Controllers / Peripherals: VPC MongoosT-50, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, modded MS FFB2/CH Combatstick, MFG Crosswind Pedals, Gametrix JetSeat OS: Windows 10 Home Creator's Update
Maverick-X Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I don't have time right now to watch the trk, but if you are fast, have loaded wings and pull G it is possible the wing breaks

Boris Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 What does your accelerometer tell you? Ok, so I watched the track again and watched the accelerometer closely. The needle hits about 6 or 7 gs just as the wing rips off. So that's the reason huh? :D PC Specs / Hardware: MSI z370 Gaming Plus Mainboard, Intel 8700k @ 5GHz, MSI Sea Hawk 2080 Ti @ 2100MHz, 32GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM Displays: Philips BDM4065UC 60Hz 4K UHD Screen, Pimax 8KX Controllers / Peripherals: VPC MongoosT-50, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, modded MS FFB2/CH Combatstick, MFG Crosswind Pedals, Gametrix JetSeat OS: Windows 10 Home Creator's Update
brunodk Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I saw the replay. You were flying almost 400 mph and pulling about 7 G, that'll break the wings for sure. i7 3770k 3.5 Ghz (OC 4.3 Ghz), 16 GB Ram, Radeon 7970, Win8 64-bit, CH Products Fighterstick + Pro Pedals + Pro Trottle, TrackIR 5

Sharpe_95 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 You probably pulled your wing off mate. Keep an eye on your speed and G-Loading when performing aggressive manoeuvres - especially when loaded with stores. -Sharpe
