Trainzak Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I got random crashes while playing Su-33 and Mig-29S campaigns, usually during combat. The game freezes, then it return to desktop with "DCS has stopped working" message. Faulty module is "ka50protect.dll", when I close the first window, then another appears with "ZweiBlau.dll" faulty module. There's the crash log: # -------------- 20130905-141813 -------------- # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at F0AAF31A 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 F0AAF31A 002FE910 0000:00000000 ?initialize@PSEffects@@YAXXZ()+E7BA F0AAF953 002FE950 0000:00000000 ?initialize@PSEffects@@YAXXZ()+EDF3 F0AB1278 002FE990 0000:00000000 ?GetOPSManager@Effects@@YAPEAVOPSManager@1@XZ()+F8 F0AB177B 002FE9C0 0000:00000000 ?update@OPSManager@Effects@@QEAAXXZ()+2B F08AF553 002FECC0 0000:00000000 ?RenderScene@SceneManager_Implement@@QEAAXPEAVsmCamera@@_N@Z()+1F3 F08B1E7E 002FEFF0 0000:00000000 ?RenderMain@SceneManager_Implement@@UEAAXAEBVdPosition@@W4vCameraType_e@@AEBUViewport@smSceneManager@@PEAVContext@Graphics@@@Z()+4FE F08B30DC 002FF1D0 0000:00000000 ?Render@SceneManager_Implement@@UEAAXXZ()+65C 3F83815B 002FF260 0000:00000000 3F83AACD 002FF2C0 0000:00000000 3F850A14 002FF2F0 0000:00000000 3F8508EB 002FF320 0000:00000000 3F8E4B38 002FF390 0000:00000000 3F8E6139 002FF990 0000:00000000 3F8E8DAB 002FFA40 0000:00000000 7709652D 002FFA70 0001:0001552D C:\Windows\system32\kernel32.dll BaseThreadInitThunk()+D 771CC521 002FFAC0 0001:0002B521 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlUserThreadStart()+21 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2800 MHz overclocked @ 3400 MHz A-DATA Extreme DDR2 800 MHz 6 GB GIGABYTE nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB, overclocked 650/1600/950 MHz Windows 7 x64
Trainzak Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 So it just crashed the same way while playing Ka-50 campaign. It seems that there is some serious issue with DCSW 1.2.6. Singleplayer gameplay was very stable with 1.2.5. ED Team NineLine Posted September 5, 2013 ED Team Posted September 5, 2013 i use it Can you try a smaller mission, even make one yourself with just the aircraft your are flying, and no other units, just to see if you have the same results. You system is really going to have a tough time with a mission with alot of units. You should be able to upgrade to Win7 64bit for free, have you considered that? otto Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I can't play any mission at any graphic setings.But i'm not upset.it's an old pc.Need to buy a new one. But previous versions worked well at least in singleplayer.
Trainzak Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 I just bought 2 GB RAM module, so after installing it I have 6 GB of RAM now. Sadly, crashes persists, the exactly same way. I tried moving DCS Saved Games folder and then I just copied back logbook and keyboard mappings, but still no success. I doubt that reinstalling C++ 2010 redistributable would help. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's not a problem on my side. Could you at least tell me, that this bug is a known issue, that will be resolved in one of next patches? Please? EDIT: Please don't tell me to try DCS Repair. I tried hundred times... ED Team NineLine Posted September 16, 2013 ED Team Posted September 16, 2013 Can you confirm you are not overheating, can you monitor this? You are doing some decent overclocking on both your vid card and processor, which are both getting low on the specs scale? Can you experiment with removing the overclocking with your vid card to see if that makes a difference? We are finding that the minimum specs arent cutting it as well anymore...
