Random crashes while playing singleplayer FC3 campaigns

I got random crashes while playing Su-33 and Mig-29S campaigns, usually during combat. The game freezes, then it return to desktop with "DCS has stopped working" message. Faulty module is "ka50protect.dll", when I close the first window, then another appears with "ZweiBlau.dll" faulty module.

There's the crash log:

So it just crashed the same way while playing Ka-50 campaign. It seems that there is some serious issue with DCSW 1.2.6. Singleplayer gameplay was very stable with 1.2.5.

I have gotten some similar ACCESS_VIOLATION crashes with the A-10C from varying DLLs. Noted so far: A10Cgui.dll and A10Cprotect.dll (not exact file names). However, those came during multiplayer.

My Rig:

CPU: i9-9900k - Corsair H150 Cooler. RAM: 32GB, 3200Mhz.

Mobo: Asus MAXIMUS Formula XI - Main Drive: 512GB NvME SSD

DCS Drive: 512GB NvME SSD - Graphics: GTX 1070 Ti. Display: 23" 1080p LG LCD.

Input: Razer Naga & Blackwidow Ultimate, TrackIR 5, HOTAS Warthog & MFDs (x4), Saitek Rudder Pedals, TurtleBeach PX22 Headset.

i use it

Can you try a smaller mission, even make one yourself with just the aircraft your are flying, and no other units, just to see if you have the same results. You system is really going to have a tough time with a mission with alot of units. You should be able to upgrade to Win7 64bit for free, have you considered that?

  • 2 weeks later...

I just bought 2 GB RAM module, so after installing it I have 6 GB of RAM now. Sadly, crashes persists, the exactly same way. I tried moving DCS Saved Games folder and then I just copied back logbook and keyboard mappings, but still no success. I doubt that reinstalling C++ 2010 redistributable would help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's not a problem on my side. Could you at least tell me, that this bug is a known issue, that will be resolved in one of next patches? Please?

EDIT: Please don't tell me to try DCS Repair. I tried hundred times...

Sorry, Windows 7 64 bit (I should probably write my specs to my signature, I know...)

EDIT: Ok, I just forced myself to write my PC specs into signature, as you can see :)

Can you confirm you are not overheating, can you monitor this? You are doing some decent overclocking on both your vid card and processor, which are both getting low on the specs scale? Can you experiment with removing the overclocking with your vid card to see if that makes a difference? We are finding that the minimum specs arent cutting it as well anymore...
