Nealius Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I created a mission that starts at 1500. Player's UH-1 spawns from ramp at 1500. AI UH-1 spawns from ramp at 1500. When I enter the game it tells me I have a "delayed start" and I'm staring at the AI helo. So then I set player's UH-1 to spawn from ramp at 1500, AI UH-1 spawn from ramp at 1503. This time I spawned as normal, but when I waited for 1503 to pass, the AI UH-1 never appeared. Can anyone confirm this behavior? I wonder if it's a general DCS issue or just with the UH-1.
Davis0079 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 (edited) each farp is for one flight only at a time....so if you only put one helo in the flight, it still takes up the whole farp ...add a second and/or a third for each additional flight you wish to be able to take off at one tine ...so to recap....just because you only have a one ship flight...you still take up all four heli pads just the same as if you were a four ship... thats why you have to wait for them to take off and leave before spawning in later then you wished edit....i could be very wrong about this...but I have yet to make two different flights take off at the same time from a farp...... ENO Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 That's interesting now that you mention it... I know with client positions we don't have that issue... I just set up 4 and let them have at it... no delayed starts or anything. But I haven't tried with mixes of AI and Clients... Hmmm Might be worth putting a second FARP on that location (on the side of the static structures so they can still be used) and separate the AI from Client FARPs. Nealius Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 I'll probably just leave it be. I made a simple mission with about 8 FARPS dotted around the map for navigational/landing practice. The AI wouldn't really do anything, I just wanted to make it a bit more immersive.
