1.26 using win 7 32 bit

want to rollback to 1.25 since it worked under win 7 32bit

See Post Number 2 in the thread.

Start Button

Type CMD (In the Search Box)(Or CTRL+ALT+DEL, Task Manager, New Process, Applications, New Task Button, then "CMD"

Open Command Prompt.

Type: CD\

ENTER Key

Type: CD Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\

ENTER Key

Type: DCS_updater.exe update 1.2.5

ENTER KEY

This will start the updater program and it will download all 1.2.5 files for DCSW and Modules installed, and downgrade you to the latest version of 1.2.5

misread the post. I thought there would be a file named 1.25. I am now forcing a downgrade and will post if it works.

I really appreciate you taking the time and setting me straight!

If it doesn't work I'll be back to retract my last statement (joking!)

its a good idea to rename your /Saved Games/DCS/ folder as well, as some of the Controls changed from 1.2.5 to 1.2.6

hey folks.... another option... do a system restoral to a date previous to the 1.2.6 update... it worked for me!

I innocently 'gafingerpoked' an o.k. to 1.2.6 and instantly regretted it... nothing seemed to work. Reverted back to 1.2.3.... which I seem to have figured out... back to where everything works on my Hawg... :music_whistling:

Don't get me wrong... I am a die hard DCS fan, but.... just say no to upgrades.... I'm still puck shy of 1.2.4.... :helpsmilie:but then again, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

Dagger17, it does work for sure. I did it as well.

Install a full 1.2.6 DCSW + modules. Then run DCS_updater.exe with the -update 1.2.5 parameter. You can either make a shortcut and put the parameter in the path, or just Win+R and type in the path.

Path should look like: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\DCS_updater.exe" -update 1.2.5

Unless you've changed it, obviously.Note, you need to place the closing quotation mark " directly after the file extension, prior to the space and dash of the parameter.

There is Interceptor's archive available online if you don't like to roll DCS back. You could download from scratch and install a second version in a different directory and leave 1.2.6 intact ready for future updates.

1.2.4 is probably the most stable version for multiplayer so I think it would be a good idea to install it separately.

These instructions need to be in a sticky.. this question is asked after every patch.. as there is always someone who needs/wants to roll back.

I'm preparing a Post in that regards for sticky, just have to test the methods before I post (which I cant do from my office)

The rollback is not working . Show 1.25 not there.

Path should look like: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\DCS_updater.exe" -update 1.2.5

Unless you've changed it, obviously. Note, you need to place the closing quotation mark " directly after the file extension, prior to the space and dash of the parameter.

Make sure you type in the proper path.
