9.JG27 DavidRed Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 hey gents! im still a noob when its about the mission editor but especially when its about advanced trigger or scripting/mist functions... so a simple question: is it possible to avoid having nights in a mission even if the time progresses?i mean when a mission is hosted on a server, and meant to be online for several hours or even days that the ingame time goes onward, but its just not getting dark?
SFAL Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Yeah there is... 99.9% sure that the server will crash 5-6h tops if u have ground and/or air AI units in the mission. If we get a stable game where a mission that can be played over 8h then i suggest use summer as season and start at 5am... Othervise the answer is no. If will go on and all you can do is to have a map rotate trigger at some point.
ENO Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 All I can suggest is pick the longest day of the year in the mission editor (june 21- summer soltice) and start the mission at sunrise. Go to this table made by MADTOMMY: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1590249&postcount=21 You can see sunrise and sunset on this day: Sunrise: 0523 and Sunset:2101 That way at the very least you can maximize daylight hours. In addition, you can always set a pause when empty condition so that you're not wasting it. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret.
