Hi, I need help getting my multiplayer working again. Earlier this evening I was able to log onto the master server just fine and put up a server of my own but my friend was not able to join. We figured out that it was because he had installed the latest update and I had not. So I installed the latesest DCS World update. I got a message saying the update installed successfully but now when I try to connect to the master server my game stops responding. I have to go to task manager to close it but the DCS.exe and Launcher.exe continue to run in the background. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 of each running silmultaneously. I try to kill them on the processes tab by "end process" but get the "access denied message". Please, please help me get my connection back.

 

As an aside: the above paragraph is word for word what I posted in my support ticket. This the 4th ticket I have submitted since I first started with DCS last July. I have never ever received any kind of response from them. Two of my tickets are listed as still open and are 2 months old. Has anyone here ever actually gotten any help or even response from tech support?

Actually, Multiplayer Issues is not even addressed yet perfectly... MP for after update 1 of 1.2.6 is working but the Load times are way out of hand 5, 6 and sometimes it takes 10 mins to load a server mission. And when you do sometimes join the server there is always this message "Server timed out".

 

Version 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 were the best update ever ! for me. The stability was awesome or still is.

I finally figured it out. The update caused my firewall exception to stop working. For some unknown reason DCS.exe was no longer recognized even though it was correctly mapped in the exception. Once I deleted and recreated the exception I could connect again.

 

As regards my comment on ED support: my tickets were passed on to a different support tech and I have received good responses in a timely manner since then.
