Thanks for all your work guys, I am gonna ask for a hold on everything until 1.2.7 now, with the exception of proven actions that cause crashes, I would say hold off posting anymore logs and such until that. We can revisit then, but I am hopeful for more stability then....

Okay- well as a further note on the effects.dll issue... I've had to take Wartweasel out of the lineup even after I removed the civilian vehicle I thought were causing the crash, as well as the units I turned the AI off on during a retreat.

 

Any idea as to whether or not this issue got fixed in house? If it's fixed I want to stop changing things to try to avoid the crash... If it's not fixed... well... I'll keep trying to find a cause.

I think its best to wait for 1.2.7 at this point, you guys are harder on servers than we are in testing, so while we dont see the same issues, its hard to say that whatever the cause is, that its fixed. At the very least the track creation on crash should help.

 

My personal feeling is anything that might cause the server to become un-synced for users, such as alot of units, or things like civilian traffic, it can hurt to watch those things... I always feel like once the server gets out of sync with people its only a matter of time before it blows up... if that makes any sense.

Yeah...

 

Makes me wonder about the group to random zone that I bring in near the beginning- it's the only script I put to task in the mission and the only one I haven't taken out. Makes me wonder if they take different routes on various clients and then when one of them is killed... maybe that crashes the server. I've left it in there against my best judgment because usually the crash I'd expect happens much sooner- ie: closer to when that script is used.

 

On the bright side, that crash track should help to get to the bottom of these issues... I can't wait.

I hope so as well, although I think more and more, the importance of a true dedicated server tool really shows...

Mission was running for 1-2 hours. Then a Huey picked up the first cargo of the mission and when he droped it the server crashed.

Mission always crashes at this point.

(Combined arms was enabled in the mission. Maybe that's an issue?)

 

 

Same crash happend again exactly when a huey dropped cargo.
