Gloom Demon Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 When i trim the Su-25T the some of the three trim lights in the cockpit either light up or go out - what does this mean? Does it mean that trim is engaged and in order to untrim the aircraft I need to make the lights go out or do the lights mean that the plane is trimmed for level flight.... maybe something else? Psyrixx Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Lights on mean trim is centered along that axis. I believe it is elevator trim (up/down), aileron trim (roll left/right), rudder trim (yaw left/right). Robert Sogomonian | Psyrixx website| e-mail | blog | youtube | twitter

If your aircraft is not flying level, you will have to apply trim which will make one or more of the lights go out. EDIT: You can also apply trim to maintain a certain attitude such as a 30 degree left bank or a 5 degree nose down pitch. This is actually how the autopilot is working which is why the aircraft's trims are not centered after you've engaged autopilot. Edited October 29, 2013 by kontiuka 1
