jomar machado Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 I've just bought the Thrustmaster TFlight Hotas X! Now I understand why you told me about enough buttons...there's not enough for so many instructions, now I'm looking in Google for a decent profile for it and SU25t...

Now I understand why you told me about enough buttons...there's not enough for so many instructions, now I'm looking in Google for a decent profile for it and SU25t...Remember that you don't have to assign absolutely everything to your joystick. Really, just the most critical functions that you'll need in the heat of combat.
cichlidfan Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I've just bought the Thrustmaster TFlight Hotas X! Glad to hear that you found one so quick. If you end up creating your own profile an approach to take is just configure what you need to fly, then add functions as you learn how to use the aircraft in combat. kontiuka Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 In the meanwhile I'm using my old SideWinderHmmm. I wonder if I'm the only one left now.:music_whistling:

I seem to recall having that same issue, though I think it was Rise of Flight at the time. I don't recall finding a solution either. jomar machado Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 The Win 7 recognizes it but I can't do it inside DCS...
ED Team NineLine Posted November 21, 2013 ED Team Posted November 21, 2013 The Win 7 recognizes it but I can't do it inside DCS... Weird, anytime I added a new module or something like that, it would use that as the throttle by default, you should be able to use it as the rudder axis, but to be honest I never tried... I used it as a zoom. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

Kontiuka: mine is in the cabinet again... ;) To make the throttle rocker work as rudder you need to put the Hotas X into "5 axis" mode. The led on the throttle base will be red IIRC. Then go to the axis configuration in the game and select the rudder axis. Hope this helps. jomar machado Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 I've been using my Joystick T-Flight Hotas X for almost 3 weeks and I'm very fine with it. I know that I'm in the beginning of the DCS World steps but it's a good tool to take off and landing with my SU25T... I hope it will be useful when entering the F15C FC3 world...
