Pepec9124 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) I have interferences on my screen, some horizontal lines moving vertically and it's very annoying. It's mostly visible when it's displaying dark images. I've done some things to eliminate some potential causes. My best shot is PCI-E GPU or PSU. I've taken out GPU from my PC and now I'm running it without issuses on integrated HD2000. So is it my PSU having problems with power generation with additional GPU or is it my GPU sucking ? I've got 2 weeks of warranty left  Clue: My PSU is not rated with some certificates like 80 PLUS or etc. It's cheap i-tec 700W. It might be most stupid thing I've done, instead of buying good 500W with certificate I bought some cheap shit. Edit. Typo in thread name again. Edited November 28, 2013 by Pepec9124
VanjaB Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I dont think its a power problem, otherwise you would have BSOD failures or even power downs during your gameplay. Its definitely a graphics card problem, take it back and use that warranty.
Pepec9124 Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 Thanks, I will send it back tomorrow then.
Bodo Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Hmm , what spec is your PSU? I wouldn't count that PSU out....just yet. Ideally I would replace that PSU with something good in any case. Corsair 550D / Be Quiet 650W Pro 10 / ASUS P8Z77-V Pro / Intel i5 3570K / 16GB Kingston HyperX 1600 MHz / EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX2 4GB / 128GB Samsung 830 / RME HDSPe Multiface 2 / 1TB Samsung F3 / Prolimatech Megalames Rev. B / Windows 10 / BenQ XL2420T / Saitek X52 Pro / Kone Pure+ / Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja

My graphics card has 116w tdp so with core i3 it should not have so much trouble that it would interfere with display. BTW it is connected via analogue cable which I have manually coated today :p Edit. 484w on 12v lane and 200w on the rest. Edited November 28, 2013 by Pepec9124
Lange_666 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Do you have the option to put the GPU into another PC to test (maybe at the shop)? It would determine if the GPU has a problem or not. If possible, hook it up with the same monitor you use now. Do you have this issue only when playing a game (when the GPU is under load) or always? Also, don't rule out your motherboard, it's unlikely but it could have an issue on it's PCI lanes. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL. Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

He has similar specs, just with AMD CPU and good PSU.
Lange_666 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 If it happens no matter what load the card the is on, you can "almost" rule out the PSU. But a test will tell...
