millmax Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Hi! What does the letter M next to the lase L mean? Can't seem to find anything in the manual. HUD image from the manual p 386 included.
Supersheep Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 From memory, I'd say TGP->Masked. There's an M on the TGP MFD in that case, too. Edit: In the case of that image, the TGP is not looking ahead at that point, so it's at least plausible. 1 The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
millmax Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Seems you are right. Manual p 333:"If the TGP line of sight is masked by the aircraft, “M” is displayed in this field to the right of the laser type. If masked, the laser will be unable to fire." That will also explain why the M seems to appear and disappear without me touching anything in the aircraft.
Supersheep Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 BTW: A flashing M indicates that it is about to get masked. The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
Damien Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 because of the way the TGP is set up, it may show M or a flashing M even with nothing blocking it. It does this based on the possibility of any possible type of armament being mounted and blocking it at certain angles. -Damien 1
