I have a really hard time slewing to the target when using the CH products throttle slew button. It seems like the slightest adjustment slews it way off the target after using slave all to SPI. By the way also since I slave all to SPI why can't I just fire my Maverick then instead of using the slew button to move off target just to have to get back on it before I can fire? I have adjusted the Mav Slew down to 2 and also 1 with no improvement. I have also gone into the DSMS and adjusted the slew rate there. Is anyone using a set up in the controls dialog that works really well for them?

Ok, if i'm right the following should help you. Assuming you can get the TGP pointing straight at the target.

When you have done the above, set as SPI (something HOTAS long up if i remember right, been months........)

Then set the Mav's to SOI and Slave to SPI

Now, to get the Mav to lock, instead of slewing it use the hotas button.

TMS up Short, again if memory serves me right.

If it doesn't lock, you may be to far away, try again after closing some distance.

(for mav D around 7 miles should work 90% of the time)

I use a CH throttle mini stick for the slew and it's necessary to put a decent curve on it so it won't be over sensitive. Also to make the Mav slew less sensitive, set the number higher, not lower.

Thanks guys for the info I will try the TMS up short solution. It makes since to me that you should be able to lock the Mav without moving the slew around. Thanks again.

First: Find target with TGP

1: Set SPI with TGP with TMS UP LONG.

2: Slave MAV to SPI with CHINA HAT FORWARD LONG

3: Set MAV to SOI

4: Lock MAV with TMS UP SHORT. (As mentioned above, you will only get a lock from a "certain" distance, to far away=no lock. Just keep pushing tms up short until lock. Around 7-9 miles/km)

You can also set the desired slewspeed in the options/control and slew vertical/horizontal and there go into Axis tune and change the saturation slider.

The comments regarding TGP/SPI/etc are the right way to go.

However, if you still want to adjust the control sensitivity look to the axis settings in CH Control Manager. For the throttle slew control I have mine at the flattest curve, sensitivity 100, dead zone 10. Don't forget each axis has its own set of parameters.

I find it easier to adjust as much as possible in CH Control Manager and leave the game as close to defaults as possible. As you are running CH gear, get comfortable with the Control Manager. It's a little clunky at first, but once you get the hang of it you can do some powerful things.

Isn't it also possible to adjust the slew rate using the MFD menus in-game?

Yes. On the mav or TAD displays, you'll see a "Rate" near one of the OSBs along with a number. Put the number you want (I think it's 1-9, but I'm not sure) using the UFC, which puts the number on the scratchpad in the HUD and the CDU. Then press the OSB next to "Rate" and it will apply the number in the scratchpad. Note that higher numbers mean a slower slew rate.
