DCS WWII Will be Free to play

 

The FW-190D-9 and P-51D from DCS World will activate in DCSWWII when it's released.

But, to answer your question...Yes, you are correct. The kickstarter has been closed for many months.

oops, sorry, I accidently Cut my first line out of my post,

 

There was a KickStarter Funding Campaign a few months back, that gives backers specific rewards from extra planes to alpha access, etc etc.

 

However there wasnt any official "pre-order" as it's a Free-To-Play Sim.

But I think the Backers get Early Beta Access before it goes Public.

 

P-51D License can be purchased from ED and Activated with DCS:WWII,

FW-190 Can be purchased when it's released and Activated with DCS:WWII as well.

Republic P-47D-28 Thunderbolt;

Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX;

Messerschmitt Bf-109K-4;

Messerschmitt Me.262A-1 (Stretch Goal Funding Met )

 

 

 

This affects ONLY those who have not backed the project. The change does not affect ANY current backers of ANY level.

 

If you back the project at any time before the funding period ends on October 5th, your rewards will be as previously stated.

 

Here's what you'll be able to fly:

 

$0 (non-backer): ONE aircraft (either P-47, Spitfire, or Bf.109, to be voted for by backers)

 

$1: THREE aircraft (P-47, Spitfire, and Bf.109)

 

$20: FOUR aircraft (P-47, Spitfire, Bf.109, plus one more of your choice)

 

$30: FIVE aircraft (P-47, Spitfire, Bf.109, plus two more of your choice)

 

$40: ALL aircraft (all aircraft in the initial release)

The FW-190D-9 and P-51D from DCS World will activate in DCSWWII when it's released.

 

AFAIK the original 3 free aircraft model has been changed during the crowdfunding campaign to 1 free to play aircraft (non-backers) which the backers ought to decide whenever there will be a website available.
