MacFevre Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Yep. It was Jimbo who made the nice how-to on the pull. It starts here. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1922078&postcount=15 Buttons aren't toys! :smilewink: My new Version 2 Pit: MacFevre A-10C SimPit V2 My first pit thread: A-10C Simulator Pit "The TARDIS." Stevos758 Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 Thanks! That is what I was talking about. I tweaked a few more things last nich and am more happy with the design. Now in game there are way more LED lights in the pull handle than the real one which seems to have only two? Maybe one in the middle I cant see. I only plan on putting 3 orangish yellow lights in there. I don't feel like soldering any more of those damn SMD leds in there! Maybe 3 of these http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/LNJ414K82RA/P13488DKR-ND/1845829 or any other requests? Facebook Ripp's Garage Tech LLC
MacFevre Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I think they'll be great as is. Just to be curious, what else have you been able to make with your printer? Thinking about getting in on the mini printer that's on Kickstarter right now. Just for dun, of course. Stevos758 Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 A bunch of random junk mostly! hahaha. It has its moments of usefulness. Here is some stuff I've made. Sometimes it really saves the day. https://imgur.com/a/t8Mtv What one are you looking at? Facebook Ripp's Garage Tech LLC
Deadman Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Hi Steve if your looking at Mac's APU pull switch it is an older one the design has changed. The unit is now NVIS lit and has a different face. What? Really? They've changed?? Well, I guess they had to. I mean, I did actually get one so it makes sense that they would say, "What? That guy over at the ED forum's has one of our fire handles? Hmm... Well I guess this calls for a redesign!" DM. do you have a link or a picture of one of the new ones? I suppose in my case, I'll stick to the old design. I suppose if it's NVIS lit and it goes off, you have a lot bigger problems than staying in night vision mode. Anyway, Steve, it's this one here: Buttons aren't toys! :smilewink: My new Version 2 Pit: MacFevre A-10C SimPit V2 My first pit thread: A-10C Simulator Pit "The TARDIS." I think I found a pic of the new ones. they arent much different. Do they have more lights now Deadman? MacFervre. I would spend another few hundred and get something bugger our build your own. That is a very small print bed and you'll kick yourself for not getting a bigger one asap. For about $600 you can usually get a stockish solidoodle 3 for that price. It seems your know your way around tools so something like a solidoodle wont be a problem. Its cheaper and just as capable as a $2000 printer. Just needs some tweaking and mods here and there.
