With the lack of ability to extract items to a networked PC I am looking at hooking up my 24" touchscreen to my main PC.

As I see it I can do this two different ways. First is to use my existing video card for a dual monitor setup (I have a EVA GTX660 Superclocked). The second is using a USB to DVI external video card.

The question I have is anyone using a USB adapter with success? If so what model? Would the USB monitor being used for Helios and extracted MFD's be less of a FPS hog then just using the GTX660 SC alone to drive two monitors?

Any external USB solution will cause a bigger performance hit than hooking a second monitor to your video card.

In my set-up I am using two-monitors. Initially I connected each monitor to two video cards but that gave me micro-stutters. Once I connected both monitors to one GPU (GTX680) stutters were gone. I do use Helios.
