9.JG27 DavidRed Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) hey guys the title says it all... i just cannot get the camera to track any missiles with the default keystroke RCtrl+Num+... it just doesnt track anything... but in the controls options menu, it does highlight this option when i keep the keystrokes pressed...so its assigned correctly... any tips?is it bugged and not working correctly at the moment?or is it me doing something wrong? 9.JG27 DavidRed Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 F6 works, but thats a different view, which doesnt give me the result im looking for... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=119377
Zabuzard Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Afaik this isn't working in every mission by default. Open a mission in the editor and check the options listed there like the different views.
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 yeah i thought about that already as well, and thats why i enabled padlock in the main options menu yesterday, and built a mission by myself where i made sure that all views and padlocks are enabled... still, not working.
kripzoo Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Try "lft Ctrl + f11" then look at missile direction and press "," on numpad (below the 3)
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 thx kripzoo but thats not working for me either... the only view where it is working is when i am either in cockpit view, or in the F2 outside view....but this is not the result im trying to achieve, as it will then switch the view... in the link ive posted above, there is the a10c trailer, where there is a scene which im trying to replicate....according to the maker, it was captured first from Strg+F3 and then RStrg+ Num +...which resulted in an tracking of the missile seemingly without switching views... but thats just not working for me unfortunately, and im trying to find out what im missing.
kripzoo Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Allright. For me its working and i think that scene at 2:39 on the video is made like this: - Press the "lft ctrl+f11" so you get the free camera mode and then move the camera at a good distance from the aircraft. -Then zoom with the camera "right ctrl+"*" key on the numpad (above the 9) so you can see the aircraft and then click the "," key on the numpad. - Now the camera should be locked and tracking the plane. And when it fires the mav, press again the "," key and it should now track the missile I hope it works and it should, if u havent changed the keys in the options :)
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 well, i tried that a hundred times i think...i can padlock the plane from teh Strg+F11 and then Numpad+, keystroke... but when it then fires the missile, and i hit again "Numpad ," , it will just toggle the padlock off, so im again only in the free camera mode where the plane quickly gets out of my view...if im fast enough to hit "Numpad ," again, it will only padlock the plane again and not the missile...
kripzoo Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Well i tried it again in the editor and it works nicely. Make sure u are using good amount of zoom (fov), (if that has something to do with it), and place the camera in front of the plane and press immediately "," key when the mav launches. I cant help more. Maybe the settings in the options have something to do with this?
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 well, have you tried it with the p51??cause i can get it to work with the a10c, but not with the stang
Shadow KT Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 There was a command which on weapon release the camera changed view to the weapon you've releaced in slow motion but I can't remeber the command ....Was it cntrl + num 0 or num del 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 well, with RCtrl+Num +, you get the camera ordnance tracking view...but, this will change the view to a totally different position....what im looking for is a way to have a smooth transition from first tracking the plane, and then once the rocket or bomb is released, to track that one... as already said, i can do that with the a10c without a problem, just for demonstration purposes ive uploaded this to youtube... can anybody get a similar result with the p51?
kripzoo Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Yeah it seems that the tracking is not working for the Mustang's weapons... For almost every other plane, helis or even SAM´s its working ok.
