Hi,

With all the testing on the v127Beta, and with the release of v127 --

What are the recommended Connection Speeds for the Server and Clients?

Should the Server be on ASDL 10240 for Internet serving, or on LAN?

Or should the Connection Speed be set according to the Internet service for the machine? For instance, my server is on a 60 MB cable connection, and both my Clients are on the same LAN on a DSL Internet connection at 1.5 MB.

Would that mean the Server (Hollo Pointe) be on ASDL 10240?

And my two Clients both be on ASDL 1024?

I'll say again what I've said before and what I was told-

In most circumstances servers should stay on LAN setting (which worked well through testing) and clients should connect using 1024 (which worked through weeks of beta testing).

Exception to the rule (I found from experience) that anyone connected directly to the server through LAN should choose LAN settings for those clients. Now, you may have different experiences- but that's what worked in my situation and you and I have very similar setups.

I'm coming to a conclusion that a slightly higher setting of ADSL 2048 (256/128) may be needed on missions with alot of ground units being moved around, this happened a few times in the past week where i've joined in missions with CA slots and there was plenty of action going on, i had several disconnects but when i raised the setting it was smooth sailing.

Bottom line is, even ADSL 1024 is enough for a baseline connect speed but don't be scared of using 2048.
