ENO Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then I kept working on it and it doesn't anymore- but it seems when I latch, but disable the clutch... or something... Ugh. Anyway, a part of it is my fault because I want to be plugged in through my monitor USB hub- which in the back of my mind isn't doing me any favours... I'll get it set for good and then report the proper settings. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
ENO Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Okay... Well, I've decided to put my pitty party pants away and go at this with renewed enthusiasm. I finally found the common denominator. No matter which plug I went to- HUB or otherwise- there was no connection as to whether it worked or not. No setting would matter... Latched, unlatched, enabled, disabled... reinstalled I don't know how many times. I know the registry editor better than I know (enter something that I know really, really well). Then I noticed that the function / modifier (pinky) worked when I left the controller properties window open (similar to the photo I have above). When I had that open, it worked like a charm. When I closed it- not so much. So- just to clarify since someone above mentioned we needed to have the software installed in order to work properly- is that the equivalent to leaving the properties window open? EDIT: Not wanting to be totally lazy I went in and reinstalled the software and had it running in the background. Didn't work (joystick button 6). Opened the "properties" back up for the controller: Worked. Is this a bug? (yes please) Edited January 27, 2014 by ENO "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. Although this does not bring up a window like teamspeak which needs to run in the background, I feel sure that in principle the same thing occurs by activating the software profile which in essence would be the same as leaving the properties window open. Update: After checking the task monitor I find that the profile software is running in the background regardless of whether or not the profile has been activated. karambiatos Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 ENO just DL my profiels, and run them on the software see if it works, i explained above, why just installing the software wont free the pinky button. A 1000 flights, a 1000 crashes, perfect record. =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC"] Check out my random mods and things

DaveRindner Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Bring up the Saitek X52 Control panel from Windows, and leave it open, when running DCS. You'll find that all buttons on both stick and throttle work only when Control Panel is open. When panel is closed, some buttons do not register. One of those things I guess. I hope upcoming X55 solved that issue. I am not sure about X65 for helicopter sims. Having cyclic being pressure only, seems kind of weird. Plus its still expensive despite being a poor seller for Saitek.
