Sorry if this is in some hidden manual somewhere- I've done a couple searches but all either come back empty or relating to A-10C.

I see "wheel brake" in the A-10A controls option- letter W... but the rudder pedals I have don't register.

Is this my rudder pedals acting up or is this A-10A not having this type of functionality yet?

Your rudders are an axis. You cannot assign an axis to that command.

EDIT: In theory, that axis should have been added with the AFM.

Okay, so we're on the same page with our thoughts on that matter. But thanks for clarifying- hopefully they'll fix that soon.

Wonder if that's as easy as editing a .lua in the input section to make that eligible for the axis input?

Now if you have programmable pedals, then you could rig it so that one or both pedals produce a 'W' keypress. I should be able to do it with my Saitek's but I have never bothered.

you wouldnt have "AXIS" Sensitivity though, so you'd still have the problem of 100% or 0% Brakes.

True, but at least you can hit the 'W' key with your foot instead having to find it on the keyboard or mapping it onto your stick/throttle, where you still have the 'all or nothing' limitation.

Looks pretty easy-

I'm going to give it a try...

You could use the Saitek profile editor (right-click the rudder pedals in your systray), set the Left and Right Toes axis to bands and make 67-100% keypress W (I think it's W) for wheelbrake.
