I'm flying FCS and A-10C. I found the HUD difficult to view against the sky. I tried changing color of HUD and increased brightness to max but its still lousy. I also tried changing monitor contrast settings but that also messes up the inside view of cockpit. So I imagine I'm not the only person to have this issue. Are there any mods that increase contrast, its seems that the world is washout!!

Can you provide a screenshot, a description of your PC configuration, what GPU, what GPU settings (in Catalyst (AMD) / Forceware settings (NVidia)); your In game settings? That could be more helpful for us to... help you.

I have some screenshots but how do I attach them to my forum response?

I've attached some screenshots. There is an image of the DCS>Options>Graphics settings.

I do not have any mods loaded. I'm running an Intel i5-4670 @ 3.4GHz and the GTX 770 with 2MB OC. I also have TIR 5 and the TM Warthog.

In the screenshots the HUD is set to max brightness. I have also tried different HUD colors. In my opinion there is a lack of contrast. Adjusting the monitor does not help because then the interior cockpit becomes to dark. Is this the way it is supposed to look? Are there any tweaks/mods that you'd recommend. It just seems washed out, I'd to see more contrast/saturation (not sure what the correct technical words are).

If it is multiplayer it may be related to this

and the work around at the moment is to close DCS down and reconnect.

;1935966']Verified, known issue. Happens as poster desribed or if you leave a server and join another one (always the second mission that is blurry and all after that)

Seems to only effect Nvidia cards, restarting your game is a work around for now.

It is on the 'to do' list but as you can appreciate there are more pressing problems to work out first!

on the other hand it may just be the weather settings for that mission :)

also have you tried HDR off ?

I'll give it a try with HDR off. There appear to be a number of different terrain/lighting mods I'm not sure which of them would help eliminate the washed out look.

I have the same style of image as you. I don't find it abnormal. When the sun is bright in you front quadrant, it's quite bad contrasted but when the sun is at your 6, don't you find the HUD more readable?

EDIT: Maybe can you find answers how to tweak HUD colors by yourself in this thread...

In the past, I've turned HDR off, and change the HUD to "night" settings. that seemed to help out when viewing against a white sky or clouds.
