  1. Not to hijack the thread but I have a smoke related question. I set an AI flight as AFAC and I give it smoke rockets and set its flight path over a column of enemy yet it never launches smoke rockets at the tanks to mark them. Is there a way to do this?
  2. No I mean why didn't they put laser activation in the T's manual for unguided bombs, rockets, etc

  4. That's what I read too but I think it works the same no matter what position the switch is in. Maybe I am missing something though.
  5. Testing the KMGU dispenser on the SU-25T I have noticed that you do NOT have to set the left switch on the weapons panel to the KMGU/MER setting for the dispenser to work. The manual and the training video both say that you do but it works the same no matter what position that switch is in. Now the switch on the right side of the weapons panel (X1, X2, X4, ALL) does effect how many of the KMGU dispensers will dispense if you have more than one. Just thought I would point this out if they didn't know it yet.:pilotfly:
  6. I have been practicing bombing with an AI wingman. This has led to a few questions if anyone has time to answer. 1. I load up my AI wingman with FAB-100's on MER's. That is 4 FAB's on each pylon. I watch him drop in pairs. That is one bomb off each wing per bomb run. How does he do this? I tried all settings on the panel but no matter what I set I always drop all 4 bombs off the pylons. 2. Setting up training I put static enemy targets (airplanes) around an airfield. I tell my wingman to "attack ground targets" but I get a "negative". Is this because I am using static targets and not "real" targets? When I set up "real" BMP's and AAA my AI wingman seem to attack.
  7. No track. Does your wingman call out MANPADs to you? I am confused as to if it is just my problem or a gamewide problem.
  8. I don't use easy comms. I guess I am just floored that my AI wingman wont call out MANPAD launches on me when he is in a perfect position to do so.
  9. Would love to know this too! Maybe makes them part of the IAD? If a stinger has a comm guy near it he will spot you quicker?
  10. I have read the SU-25 manual from FC and I have read the SU-25T manual from World. In the SU-25 you use the laser for unguided bombs, gun pods, guns, and rockets. Pretty much everything. In the SU-25T you DO NOT use the laser (at least according to the manual) for these weapons. Is this an oversight in the T's manual or is range finding now automatic for these functions in the T? With upgraded avionics it may be all internal now for the T. Has anyone noticed a difference in accuracy using the laser in either aircraft?
  11. When I release my wingman to attack ground targets he seems to spot and attack the infantry when there are tanks and such right near the infantry. Wingman has FAB250's and S-25 rockets. Why attack infantry when the tanks are right there? Is it because his weapons are unguided?
  12. At least make it optional. Why Devs don't do this for so many things I'll never know.
  13. I can spot tanks and such but spotting infantry is IMPOSSIBLE. I guess that's realistic
  14. Same topic.... 1. Did we lose one of the zoom magnifications? The manual says 1X, 7X and 23X I think but I only have 2 settings (not sure which ones though). 2. Can we still adjust the "gate" size for the lock box? 10 meters, 20 meters, etc? I cant seem to do it with default keys.
  15. FYI... I know it is "in fashion" to say that Wiki is not a source but in independent testing on a broad range of subjects, Wikipedia has proven to be more accurate than encyclopedia Britannica ever was. Sorry to wander off topic.
